Thinking About a Lot of Things a Lot, Wanting to Do a Lot. Lots.

Two thousand eight na.

I’m 23. Still young. But confused. Well, somehow. Not really.

At times I feel as if I’m getting older but without a clear direction or even vision to where I’m going. Still, sometimes I get the feeling that really, I am so young, and that thought comforts me. What makes me think about a lot of things a lot is that I want to do a lot. Lots.

It’s not that I want to really do those lots of things to the point of making a career out of each of them. It’s just that I don’t know what to do with those lots of things and how to do those lots of things. It may not be obvious, but I can be impatient.

Nothing to worry about. Oh, well.

My problem is that with those lots of things I want to do is that I really do not know what to make as a career. I’m not good with research. I prefer to make my advocacy a personal undertaking separate from my work where I earn. I hate corporate jobs, bu I may still take a chance on it. So, what?

Now, I’m learning how to use and take good pictures with a film SLR. Nice. Although expensive.

Live on.

Live each day superbly! Yeah.

Big Dreams

Really, a little time wandering and reading different blogs during work can be beneficial.  Earlier this morning, I’ve come across Audrey Loh’s blog and found what she wrote truly inspiring (Nov. 5, 2007, “Bah”):

Big dreams. BUT a man with no dreams is like a wandering soul.

A man with dreams will walk towards it with a purpose. A man with clear mind and demand, and I shall be that very man. (lady in my case. ;) )

Original or quoted from somewhere else, it’s nice.

So, what are my big dreams?  Oh, I really want a long vacation away from the craziness of this city and think about my life.  I tend to think too much that I can’t understand what I’m thinking anymore.  ZZZzzzz….

Grow up, girl!

I Should Be in La Union Now

Plans were made.  A three-day respite to a beach far north.  I was almost sure to go.

However, I backed out.  I said to myself and my friends that I wouldn’t go if Mon wouldn’t go.

He wouldn’t go due to some work or some reasons.

So here I am now blogging my time away.

Boring.  I hope tomorrow’s going to be great.  Friends, let’s meet and have fun!

Yes to more government role in population control and family planning!

CBCP hits P1-B condom fund

By Evelyn Macairan
Monday, October 8, 2007

The Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) has called on legislators to spend on projects that would alleviate poverty and provide free education to poor children, instead of spending P1 billion for the purchase of contraceptives, CBCP president and Jaro, Iloilo Archbishop Angel Lagdameo said in a statement Saturday.

“We hope it is not true that Congress plans to appropriate P1 billion for the purchase of condoms, birth control pills and other ‘reproductive health’ products to control population growth. It if is true, we categorically object to it and instead strongly recommend that the one billion pesos be directly appropriated for hunger and poverty alleviation projects, as well as for free education of extremely poor children.”

He said using abortifacent and contraceptive pills are against nature and God’s teachings. The Church teaches that using these items is wrong because they destroy the fruitfulness of human reproductive capacities.

For the CBCP, the natural family planning method is the only morally acceptable way to practice responsible parenthood.

The CBCP also debunked the census data released by the United Nations, which reported that the population growth rate in the country is 2.36 percent. Based on the National Statistics Office (NSO), the rate has only been pegged at 1.99 percent.

Lagadameo added, “We exhort our clergy to proactively preach the doctrine of the Church on principled population control. We strongly encourage and support our legislators in Congress and the Senate who promote the moral teachings on life, family and population.”
